Wet carpet can be dried and saved if it has fresh water on it. The padding must be removed as this causes water to get trapped under it and turns to mold. Wet walls should get cut at least 2 feet high and if the water level is high then a 4 foot cut will be needed. Commercial dehumidifiers and blowers will need to run for at least 3 days to remove moister. Spaying a anti-microbial to prevent mold is also used.
